What Are Ingredients?

Ingredients are like mini-features that you can add to Sofa that extend it’s capabilities. If you’re familiar with spreadsheets or database tools, Ingredients are similar to properties.
Ingredients allow you to create your own rating system, plan dates for future downtime activities, add robust tagging, and more.
When creating a new Ingredient, that Ingredient is added to every item you have in Sofa. This allows you to create a fun, bespoke experience.
Types of Ingredients
There are multiple types of Ingredients that allow for different types of information to be added.
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Text | Gives you a single-line text field |
| Number | Gives you a single number field and a format setting. |
| Date | Gives you a date picker |
| Link | Gives you two fields for adding a title and url |
| Toggle | Gives you a toggle control (checkbox) |
| Single Select | Gives you a menu of options where you can select one active item |
| Multi-Select | Gives you a menu of options where you can select multiple active item |
You can add as many Ingredients as you like, and even multiple of the same type.
