What Happens When You Add Something to Logbook?
Last Updated:
When adding items from your lists to the Logbook, Sofa allows you to choose how your data is moved around. These settings can be set per list.
Keep Item in List
This is best for general purpose lists. For example, you may have a “Scary Movies” list that you revisit every Halloween. When you finish watching a movie from this list, you add it to the Logbook and it stays in the list.
Move Item to Trash
This is best for lists that are treated more list todo lists. For example, you may have a list called “Movies to Watch” and when you watch one of those movies you want to add it to the Logbook and have it be removed from the list.
What’s happening to the data under the hood?
Keep Item in List
- A new copy of the item in your list will be created and added to Logbook. Any meta data, Sticky Notes, and Ingredient values will also be included in that new Logbook copy.
- The item that was in your list will stay in your list.
Move Item to Trash
- A new copy of the item in your list will be created and added to Logbook. Any meta data, Sticky Notes, and Ingredient values will also be included in that new Logbook copy.
- The item that was in your list will be moved to the trash.
