What problem are you trying to solve?
Would be cool to be able to rate things after you have finished with them, and go back through things you have consumed sorted by those ratings.
Explain your ideal solution?
When clicking done with an item, allow for rating to occur. Then being able to review a “consumed” section, and sort by rating. Maybe even having an area where high scoring items end up so you can search them and reconsume them. This could also allow for community stuff to rise to the top for recommendations.
How are you currently solving this problem today?
Currently I am adding things I have seen or consumed and immediately marking them as done with. Mostly so I have a timeline to go through then. But no rating means nothing else.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’m curious, what would the rating scale look like? 1-5 stars, just numbers, emoji?

Hmmmm good question! I think a 1-10 scale would be ideal, particularly if it were to cover the breadth of content. The way the app Must does it is pretty great.

Yea, the way they use emoji + 1-10 is pretty fun. Something for me to chew on

Definitely this. My OCD requires me to know what I’ve consumed and how much I’ve enjoyed it. I’d go as far as suggesting that lists should show completed and uncompleted items (with options to show/hide to customize it the way you like the most), where completed items would also show your rating.
Hope this feature eventually makes it’s way into the app

I’d love to have this too!
I would be good with a simple 5-star rating, that would fit nice with Sofa’s simplicity.
By the way: the sticky note works pretty good for now. I use emoji like this. In this way I can search my log for 3 stars and it will output anything with a 3 star rating or higher. Another option would be to add a code like ‘r3’ or ‘r4’ for easy input/search.

That is a very cool hack! I like the idea of leveraging sticky notes for something like this.

I’ve thought about doing this but just haven’t yet as I would have so many items to go through!

I think a number rating system may make the app a little more complex and removes some of its simplicity. Perhaps a dedicated button in the Activity would make more sense. This is because items that are in your lists typically haven’t been watched, played, or listened to and so you wouldn’t know how much you would enjoy it yet. So an extra sorting option in Activity for “favorites” would be great. Below are some screenshots of ideas I have.

There can be a small icon next to the ellipsis that you can tap and it favorites that item, and the a bubble pops up from the top of the screen letting you know it’s favorited (similar to when you log to activity or move items to different lists).
